We don’t take deposits for our student accommodation in Ireland. Instead, to secure your room you’ll need to pay an advance license fee of €100 which will be deducted from the first (or only) instalment of your accommodation fees.
Once you’ve chosen your Nido room, you’ll need to secure it with us by accepting the agreement for your room and paying the €100 advance license fee. Both these steps need to be completed to reserve your room until the start of your stay. The advance license fee will however be deducted from the first (or only) instalment of your accommodation fee.
You can pay your license fee in full or you can choose for a payment plan of 4 to 10 instalments. If you’re paying in full, the total amount will be due before your arrival. If you’ve opted for a payment plan of 4 or 10 instalments, the first payment doesn’t need to be paid upon booking, however it will need to be paid at least 2 weeks before your arrival. Please note paying in instalments will require a guarantor.
Yes, the agreement for your room, which you are required to accept in order to complete your booking and secure your room, is a legally binding contract.
Yes, there is a cooling-off period of 24 hours. Please also see below regarding terminating your agreement and cancelling your booking.
Nido Student offers a fair cancellation policy, returning students and international student have until August 18th 2021 to cancel their room to receive a full refund of licence fees paid. First year students have two working days from the CAO first round offers to cancel their place. Please note cancellations must be submitted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org and must be emailed by the student not the parent.
If you wish to vacate or terminate during the course of your tenancy, please be advised you will be liable for licensing fees in full unless you find a replacement tenant for your room.
All bills (water, gas and electricity) are all included in your room fee, so you don’t need to worry about paying the utility bills on time.
If you wish to terminate the agreement for your room during your period of residence, you should contact the reception team to discuss the option of a room agreement takeover.
If you choose to pay by instalment (4 or 10 payments) or are a 17 year old resident then an Ireland-based guarantor is required. You choose your guarantor and enter their information as part of the booking process. We will then get in touch with them directly to confirm.
If you are unable to source a guarantor, please use a third party service, contact email@example.com for details of services available in Ireland.
Before making your first instalment, you will need to submit your proof that you are a registered student. We will accept the following
